PET resin is obtained through a polycondensation reaction between Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Ethylene Glycol (EG). PET resin contains carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, and is therefore a clean resin that is safe for a wide variety of uses. Bottles and other products made from PET have excellent clarity, high mechanical strength and are odorless. PET is also environment friendly because it does not generate noxious gasses when combusted.
